This sweet boy can be nervous, especially when new people come over, but the good news is he’s getting better every time! With patience, consistency, and kindness, Quincy is gaining confidence and showing just how special he really is. He’s incredibly affectionate once he feels safe, and when he sees his people, he gets so excited that he wiggles from head to tail — sometimes so much that it’s hard to pet him! He truly just wants to be loved. Quincy would do best in a home with: Children around 8 or older who can respect his need for space when he's unsure No dominant male dogs (he does better with calm or female dogs) A calm, patient environment that can help him build confidence at his own pace A confident dog companion in the household to help show him the ropes He’s also wonderfully well-mannered: Never had an accident in the house Likes his kennel and settles quietly Stays calm and quiet most of the time Quincy is one of those dogs who will blossom in the right home — one that can look past a little shyness and see the incredibly loyal, loving companion underneath.
