Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi, I’m Disco Stu! A little guy with a big heart, sharp mind, irresistible charm and a tail that's always ready to celebrate! I’m just over 3 months old Australian Shepherd mix, weighing 18 lbs. I’m expected to grow into a medium-sized dog with a perfect balance of energy and snuggly downtime. I'm clever, curious and super trainable. ✨Here’s what makes me awesome✨️ I’m learning fast—potty training is going great! I’m gentle with kids and friendly with other dogs. I'm a cuddle bug and will happily snooze by your side. I enjoy moderate exercise—walks, yard time, and adventures with you. I’m playful, social, and happiest when I'm getting attention. I’ve got a sleek black and white coat, bright eyes full of curiosity, and ears that catch every sound. I’m looking for a forever home where I can keep growing into the best version of myself - with love, guidance and plenty of belly rubs. If you're ready for a loyal companion who'll greet you like you're the best part of everyday, I'm your pup! Apply to meet me today: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
