Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Meet Cheez-it! This cute 4 month old girl is a mixed breed and medium is size. She is currently around 20 lbs and will likely grow to about 45 lbs when full grown. Her breed mix is a mystery and honestly, those are the best kind! Cheez-it is a sweet and outgoing pup. She is social, friendly, playful and fun. She is good with other dogs and will do fine in a home with another dog, but can also be an only dog. She has no cat experience. She is young and is just a puppy so she will need training and socialization to grow up to be a good canine citizen. She is eager to learn! She is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
