Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (long coat). Wolfie is 5.4 lbs. and was born on April 14th 2025. He and his siblings were born to Momma Duchess a silver tricolor Yorkie. We do believe the Dad was Gizmo a Black and Tan Yorkie. Duchess was pregnant when she was surrendered to the rescue. All the puppies are very playful, love squeaky toys and are very social. They love to play with the cat in their foster home and they do well with everyone. Because of their small size no large breed dogs or small children please. As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $950.00 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
