ONYX - LABRADOR RETRIEVER / MIXED (MEDIUM COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Description

Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Onyx is a very sweet girlie who has a happy go-lucky personality. She was brought to the shelter with 2 other dogs, though they were found as strays it is believed that they lived together previously. Onyx was a little under weight and dehydrated when she first arrived, we spent some time getting her to a healthy weight and we loved seeing her personality perk up once she started feeling better! Onyx has not been reactive towards the other dogs in the shelter and may do well with a nice friend. She has done multiple dog meet and greets during her time with us and each time she excels! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. We honestly aren't sure why Onyx has not been adopted yet. To us, she is perfect! Onyx has gone out on a couple Miles & Mutts outings; everyone always raves about how great she is! Onyx enjoys going on car rides but will absolutely make herself company in the passenger seat. She is always so appreciative of walks and seems to be her happiest self when enjoying the great outdoors. Onyx, historically, has been described as being 'cool as a cucumber' when out on walks! There are so many great qualities about Onyx. She appears potty trained, has great leash skills, has done well in a kennel and knows the cues `sit`, `paw` and `down`. Onyx is very loving and is sure to make a loyal companion to someone. She has done great with all handling and we'll be honest, 'cool as a cucumber' is a great way to describe her! Though we do not know if Onyx has lived with children, we anticipate her doing great with the proper introductions. She doesn't have a shy bone in her body.
