NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 7/31/2025: Pinkalicious - female - age TBD - 24 pounds - Collie/Sheltie mix Reason for intake: Pinkalicious (left the naming up to the grandchild of one of our volunteers... LOL) came to us from Bossier City Animal Control. Ninna was there taking pictures (THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN AT BCAC) for the Buddies of Bossier City Animal Control Facebook page when she spotted this little girl. How could she not see if she could get her out. She asked the staff if she was available to rescue and so, here she is! We were told she was surrendered with another larger collie mix as strays. They were posted on the Buddies page and shared all over as stray dogs, but NO ONE came forward looking for them. The other is currently at BCAC for adoption. PLEASE go meet him! Pinka (for short) is heading to our vet on Monday August 4, for everything she needs, including starting her on slow-kill heartworm treatment as she is heartworm positive, sadly. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.
