Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 425.00. Looks can be deceiving as in the case of our mini Stanley! He actually only weighs in at 26-28 pounds at 8 months and a lovable mix of Belgian Malinois and American Bully. This little guy came in a bit shy and unsure after being housed in a high kill shelter but quickly learned to love and trust at his great foster home and is now ready to find his people! This handsome little nugget loves other dogs, kids and ignores cat! Stan the Babyman is full of energy and love to run and play outside with his foster fur siblings then snuggles in for a nap on the couch with his people. He has so much to learn about life yet and would love the guidance of another dog and caring people in his new home. He is a gentle joy and it's so rewarding to see his figuring out how to play with toys! Plus he is potty and crate trained, and learning how to loose leash walk! Looking for a fantastic mini sized dog with a huge heart full of love to share? Please fill in an adoption application for our gentle Stanley at .havenanimalrescuenebraska DONATION FEE: $400 *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
