Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. If you jumped in puddles as a kid, the excitement had a rippling effect. You can look back on those days with fondness. You can bring back the fun and excitement of those days with our one and only boy Puddles. There will be splashes of fun and laughter when you make Puddles your next family member. He has the cutest little face with the cutest little ears that adds to his charm. To finish his look, he has short little legs. Puddles is an adorable complete package. He is a mixed breed of around 7 months and weighs in at around 25 pounds. It is expected that he will be a medium sized boy of somewhere up to 60 pounds when fully grown. Puddles loves to mingle and mingle he does. He does well with other dogs, children and adults. He will happily greet any and all visitors or strangers crossing his path. He will gladly enjoy days outside playing in the sun or going on outdoor adventures to just hanging out at home with his family. A mixture of fun and leisure will be just what our boy Puddles is looking for. He has not had the opportunity to meet a cat since coming into rescue. His confident personality is a bright spot with going on walks with Puddles and meeting new friends. Puddles walks great on a leash so he will be a joy to walk everywhere. The spotlight will be on him, and he is sure to reap the rewards of his friendly demeanor with being introduced to new friends. He is currently working on his house and crate training. It is a work in progress, but Puddles knows he will be a success in the near future with the help of his family. Life with Puddles is sure to have many fun experiences. He will be the life of the party and the center of attention. Puddles will flourish with the love of his family. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
