Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Terrier / Mixed. Dottie is a very smart and patient puppy! By how patient and cute she is, she’s always sitting and waiting on you, whether to open the door, to get her dinner or for some pets. She always comes running with a little wiggly butt and a wagging tail! She’s very active and adventurous, always choosing to play and explore more than taking a nap and resting for later. She loves all kinds of toys, and is doing well with just a short walk a day. Still a pup! She’s doing great with crate training, and sleeps well overnight. She still has accidents in the house every now and then but does give pretty clear signs when needs to go outside. She's outgoing, eager to please, and always ready to meet new people—especially kids, who she absolutely adores! Dottie loves to chase and play with children and showers them with affection. She’s very respectful around other dogs, a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and loves to play. Dottie does not have experience with cats. Dottie would thrive in a home that appreciates her thoughtful nature, gives her time to grow, and maybe has some kids around for her to love on. With her wiggly butt, wagging tail, and loving heart, Dottie is ready to become someone’s best friend. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
