This adorable little 13 week old cattledog mix is bursting with personality — and yes, her signature unibrow is just as cute in person. She’s got all the best cattledog traits: clever, loyal, playful, and always ready for action! Peaches is sweet as a peach with just a touch of spice. She loves everyone she meets and is a total social butterfly with other pups — always up for a frolic or a friendly wrestle. She’s happiest when she’s on the go, whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch (she brings it back like a champ — we’re still working on the “drop it” part!), or solving her favorite puzzle toys. That brain of hers needs just as much action as her paws! And of course, in true cattledog fashion, Peaches loves to “herd” her people — gently and adorably keeping her little pack in check. She’s a Velcro girl who sticks close to her humans and dog friends, always eager to be part of the fun. Peaches is crate trained, has great recall, and is doing awesome with potty training — #2 is always outside, and #1 is almost there (she’s still just a little peanut, after all). She rides great in the car and would love an active home that can keep her busy, loved, and engaged. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
