Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Location: NH Meet Blast! Blast is a loving, friendly pup who bonds quickly with Complete an Application .acdra/adoption-application her person. She loves to snuggle- either in your lap or your arms…. Consider her the “Purse Dog” model of cattle dogs! We do not know her exact mix, so her adult size will be a surprise, though it is doubtful she will be very large. Blast is yippy, peppy, loves children (that includes their shoes) and other dogs. She is petite, but likes to play with the big guys and gals. Blast has been exposed to farm animals and is currently living with 2 other dogs. She likes to travel (as long as she is in your lap) and has been exposed to strangers, children, cats, horses, chickens and large dogs. Blast is still working on potty and crate training but does well if given busy toys and when kept on a schedule. An ideal home for this girl would be one that wants to spend a lot of time with her and cater to her dainty ways! She is approximately 9 weeks old, up to date on vaccinations (will require a puppy booster shortly after adoption), preventatives and will be adopted with a spay contract. Blast is located in Acworth, NH, and adopters should be prepared to pick her up in person. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
