Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Meet Beau! Beau is a joyful, fun-loving pup who brings smiles wherever he goes! With his playful prance and goofy charm, he lights up every room he enters. Easygoing and sweet-natured, Beau is well-behaved, obedient, and easy to handle — a true companion through and through. He enjoys independent play with his toys, but his absolute favorites are chasing an empty water bottle or his favorite ball. Beau is currently learning basic commands like come, sit, down, off, leave it, and shake/paw — and he's eager to please, picking things up quickly with a wagging tail and bright eyes. He is very sweet, loving and enjoys curling up in a warm lap. Beau is: Crate trained, working on potty training, great with kids, cat-friendly, gets along with all dogs. If you're looking for a loyal, loving pup who's always ready to play or snuggle, Beau could be your perfect match. He has had a vet visit, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated - DHPP x 4 fully vaccinated, Rabies, & Bordetella x 2. He’s had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and 2 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. Your perfect adventure companion is waiting! We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
