Adoption Fee: 520. ✨ Husk Is Ready for His Next Chapter ✨ Husk has been part of our rescue since January, and now this handsome guy is ready to move on to his next adventure: a new foster or even better, a foster-to-adopt home. This 5-year-old German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix has already been through so much and come so far. He’s neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and just completed his fast-kill heartworm treatment. He’s healthy, handsome, and ready for someone willing to help him keep growing in confidence. Husk is a very calm, docile guy. When Husk first arrived, he preferred the safety of his own space and kept his distance from people. Now? He’s relaxed enough to explore the house, hang out with the other dogs, and even allow pets without a treat bribe in hand. Those may seem like small steps — but in Husk’s world, they’re giant leaps forward. Husk is dog-friendly and actually feels more at ease around other pups, so another dog in the home would be a bonus. He’s extremely food motivated (seriously, snacks are his love language) and has the potential to thrive with a patient, committed foster who understands that trust takes time. He’s still working on potty training and isn’t yet comfortable going outside on a leash, so pee pads are currently his routine. His ideal foster will be someone experienced with shy or undersocialized dogs — or at least someone open to learning, patient enough to meet him where he’s at, and consistent enough to help him keep progressing. If you’ve got the heart, the patience, and maybe a four-legged friend for him to follow, Husk could be your most rewarding project yet.
