Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. Hi! My name is Shep I am 5 years old and my foster family says I am the bestest boy. While I get slightly confused as to why you might throw a perfectly good ball, I do love going for runs and walks. I have a lot of energy, and want to get outside and explore as much as possible. I am also a great at snuggles and kisses, and my tail wag game is world class. I don’t know why my last owner dumped me out of a truck into a nice lady’s yard, but I sure am thankful she took me in and got me to Southeast German Shepherd Rescue. I am house trained, I don’t need a crate if you’re gone, and I am good with children as long as they respect my space (and I love to gently carry around the stuffed animals of my foster family’s kids, but so far I have zero interest in doggy toys). My foster mom says I have a high prey drive and likely would not do well in a house with cats or other small animals. I mostly get along with the other dogs as long as they respect me as the leader. If I had to name a flaw, I’d say that I get really excited and pull on my leash whenever a car drives by on a walk - you know, just in case they wanted to stop and give me a ride. Speaking of rides, I love them! Anywhere you go, I want to be right by your side.
