TRESA - CHIHUAHUA (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Meet Tresa! This special girl did not get a good start to life, and I think it's important we talk about it! Tresa came from a hoarding situation where she did not receive a lot of human interaction. She was left to fend for herself, bred too many times, and somewhere along the way... she lost her back foot. Thankfully, she was saved and found her way to Rescue Rovers where she is learning to be a dog and how to be loved! Tresa loves to lay on the soft grass, soaking up the sun. You will often see her out back, with her face up and eyes closed, just taking it all in! She is so happy when she gets to do her own thing, without pressure from humans - though she's learning that hanging out with people isn't all bad! Her heart is definitely attached to her stomach, and she is quickly won over with some yummy snacks... which makes gaining her trust a little bit easier! She gets along great with small dogs, cats, chickens and weirdly goats! But maybe that's because they like to bask in the sun with her! However, because of her past, Tresa is a little uneasy about children and big dogs. She tries to avoid them at all costs, but will bark in fear if they get too close or she feels cornered. So we are hoping to find a home where she won't have to worry about that! Tresa's ideal home would be somewhere with grass and a fenced yard, so she will feel safe. Someone will give her the love and patience she needs to warm up to you, but also someone who will push her to be her best self. She 1000% wants to be loved... she just doesn't quite trust it yet and needs someone to show her that she can do amazing things!! She is doing great on leash, potty training, in the car, and does great in or out of her crate! She is a calm girl who likes to play in the morning and nap away the rest of the day!
