We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Nina is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 07/30/25 Nina had a dental polishing. Nina arrived in rescue from poor conditions. She and all the dogs in the home have been proactively treated for mange. Our best guess is that Nina is a maltese, but she came from a puppy mill where there were also chihuahuas and pomeranians. Meet Nina – The Tiny Dancer of Second Chances! Nina is a little Maltese mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for simply being. Whether she’s in a pack of furry friends or rolling solo, Nina is just happy to be here — finally living the good life after being rescued from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation that, frankly, she’s already left in the dust. Nothing about her past has dimmed her sparkle. In fact, Nina has all the “go with the flow” energy of a laid-back beach bum crossed with your favorite cuddlebug. Want to snuggle - She’s in. Need a couch companion - She’s already there. Have a busy day planned - No worries, she’ll groove along like a little shadow. Nina is still learning what it means to be a true pet. Leashes - Strange ropes that don’t make much sense yet. Commands - We’re working on it. But don’t worry — Nina is open-minded, mellow, and completely ready to glide her way through learning curves. How do I act when I first meet new people? Nina is a quiet girl who will show you love from the inside out. She won't bound into the room. Rather, she will walk in and steal your heart. Other tips and tidbits: Nina arrived in rescue as part of a puppy mill. We have no records on her. Based on her overall health and condition she has been estimated at 6 years old by our veterinary partner. We celebrate her birthday 06/05/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet.
