Please apply online at texasgreatdane/adoption-application/ ** Loki is an adorable 5-month-old German Shepherd blend who weighs approximately 25 pounds. Loki was transported to our rescue after he contracted parvo in a south Texas shelter. He beat the odds by surviving a deadly disease and made a full recovery. He had a previous eye injury or birth defect in his left eye - so he has no eyesight out of that eye. Loke came to us with some weakness in his hind legs and he had lost so much weight with the parvo - that it has taken him a couple of months to recover. His weight gain has helped his legs and he can now run with the best of them! Loki is absolutely one of the sweetest, calmest pups we have ever had in rescue. He is looking for a family that will love him like he desserves! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until his puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, he may chew on anything within his reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, leash and collar, and a trial offer for 24PetWatch® Pet Insurance. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
