Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Knox was born around Valentine's Day and that may have given him this special love factor that everyone feels. Knox is playful, affectionate, and people-oriented with a strong desire to bond with both adults and children. Knox loves the water, playing in little kiddy pools and - mud puddles! Knox does very well with other dogs who do well with his current puppy energy. He plays appropriately, shares space well, and responds to doggy social cues. Knox is curious, intelligent, and enjoys enrichment activities. He is comfortable in new environments and adjusts well to change with gentle support. Knox is working on basic obedience skills and knows how to "sit". Overall, Knox is an excellent candidate for adoption into a family setting or an active home with other social dogs. He would thrive with continued positive reinforcement, regular social interaction, and plenty of affection. All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis.
