Please apply online at texasgreatdane/adoption-application/ ** Gigi is a beautiful 15-month-old Great Dane who weighs approximately 85 pounds - she still needs to gain at least 10 more pounds! She was found living on the streets covered in ticks. She is very thankful for the rescue and she looks much better with all of the tick scabs off! She is a very loving girl that will follow you everywhere. She also likes to steal food off the counters. She prefers human food to dog food - we attributing that to her life on the streets and kind people leaving her food. Gigi gets along great with everyone. She is housebroken and crate trained. She knows sit, down & shake. Gigi did test positive for anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis which are bacteria infections caused by a tick bite and she completed a 30-day course of doxycycline. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $350. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
