MR. BUTTONS - BLUETICK COONHOUND (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Dog Breed: Bluetick Coonhound (short coat). Online Adoption Application › From his temporary foster: Mr. Buttons was found as a stray and he spent 24 hours with me before the owner was found. Unfortunately, the owner told me he didn’t want him, but would keep him while I worked to rehome him. As an avid foster mom and volunteer in the rescue space, I got to work! Fast forward to a couple of days later, I woke up to a text from the owner that he had escaped, he would not be trying to find him, and he was officially a stray. As I even more anxiously got to work, animal control returned him to his owner anyways. The owner reached out and surrendered him to the rescue. Here is what we know about him so far: - He’s estimated to be 1.5 years old - Walked excellent on a leash - Did incredible with the 3 dogs at my house (both male & female) - Let me bathe him with no issue - The most gentle taking treats - Showed to be more submissive than dominant - Will need some help potty training (he does great with a belly band and hasn’t pooped inside) - Is such a a snuggle bug! Sleeps through the night! - Doesn’t love the crate, but will go in while I’m not home. Has not tried to chew anything, so may test leaving him out soon! Truly is the sweetest baby that’s had a rough start at life! Would love to help find him a home! The rescue will be getting him neutered as soon as we can get it scheduled.
