Dog Breed: Corgi / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 350.. BABYCAKES arrived today and she is ridiculously cute. She's around 1 year old and fully grown at 27 pounds. Babycakes appears to be a corgi mix, but has longer legs and a trimmer body than a purebred corgi. What else is in the mix? Maybe some Shetland Sheepdog? We have no clue. She has a medium length coat which will probably fluff up a bit with proper nutrition and vet care. Babycakes is pure sweetness, she loves everyone she meets. She's playful and curious, best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard and a playmate. She's dog friendly but hasn't been cat tested yet. Babycakes walks well on a leash. She's still a bit puppyish and does need some work on her manners, she likes to jump up for attention, which is easily fixable. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
