Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Hi, I am Zeus! I am a super friendly dog who absolutely loves everyone I meet. If you're looking for a playmate, I am your doggie! I'm incredibly active and always up for a good walk or trip to the dog park. When I am not running around, you can usually find me soaking up some rays - there's nothing I love more than a good sunbathing session. I do have a special condition called chylothorax, which means I need to eat a prescription low-fat dog food and take a herbal supplement called Rutin three times a day. It's just a little extra care I need, but don't worry, it doesn't slow me down one bit! I'm still the same happy, playful Zeus who just wants to be your best friend. **** Breed: American Bully **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2186387&flag=1

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
