Dog Breed: Bulldog / Boxer / Mixed. Hi there, I’m Serena — and I’m living proof that bulldogs bounce back! Life wasn’t always belly rubs and biscuit dreams for me. I was picked up by animal control in rough shape—skinny, sick, and feeling pretty hopeless. But then everything changed. A rescue angel scooped me up, helped me through a scary surgery (it was pyometra, but I’m all healed now!), and gave me a second chance. Now I’m gaining weight, getting strong, and letting my silly side shine! I’m about 8 years young, but don’t let that number fool you—I’ve got plenty of pep in my paws. I love short bursts of zoomies and goofy play, followed by the coziest naps you can imagine. I’m basically the perfect blend of bulldog sass and sofa snuggler. I’m super affectionate and love being close to my people. I’ll admit, I’m still learning some manners… sometimes I get so excited I jump or gently mouth when I want your attention. But with a little patience and guidance, I’m catching on fast! I’m currently crashing with both dogs and cats and doing great with them. I haven’t met any tiny humans yet, but I think I’d do best with older kiddos who understand my bulldog enthusiasm. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
