A kind neighbor took them in and cared for them for a few weeks while trying to find a safe place for them, eventually reaching out to our rescue for help. Now in foster care, Phoebe is getting the care and nurturing she’s always deserved. She’s living with two small dogs and a cat, and does well as part of a pack. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a calm canine companion. She has a very laidback energy and will play with toys, but is not much of a rough-and-tumble player. Phoebe is more of a quiet buddy who prefers a peaceful vibe and soft surroundings. Though timid at first, it only took Phoebe a few days to come out of her shell. Now, she greets her foster mom with tail wags and happy kisses. She’s potty-trained, crate-trained, and does well when left in a gated area with a cozy bed and blanket. This little girl knows how to relax and entertain herself. Phoebe’s foster mom describes her as a low-energy couch potato who is happiest curled up on your lap or snuggled into a pile of blankets. She’s a world-class cuddler who loves chest naps, sunbathing on the patio, and cozy dog beds. She’s still adjusting to the great outdoors and doesn’t love long walks just yet. We suspect she had limited exposure to the outside world in her previous life, but with time and reassurance, she’s gaining confidence. She’ll alert you when the mail comes or neighbors are nearby, but she settles quickly with a gentle word. Phoebe is ready for her next chapter, a forever home filled with love, softness, and stability.
