Description
Dog Breed: Beagle / Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Pops – 7-Year-Old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Beagle Mix with a Snuggle Habit Pops is a 48-pound bundle of charm with the heart of a cuddlebug and the stamina of a hiking buddy. At around 7 years old, he’s the perfect balance of playful and relaxed — ready to join you for long walks, runs, or hikes, then curl up at your side for a nap (preferably under the covers). He’s fully house trained, great about letting you know when he needs to go out, and an absolute angel when left home alone. In the house, he’s calm, quiet, and happiest when he can follow you from room to room or curl up next to you on the couch or bed. Pops loves toys, chewing bones, and car rides, and he’s especially motivated by treats (peanut butter Kongs are a favorite). Pops gets along well with other dogs and has been a happy greeter at the dog park, but he’s still learning leash manners. He can be reactive to certain dogs, people, or wheeled objects, especially at night or during bursts of “zoomies,” and his strong build means he’ll benefit from an adopter comfortable handling larger dogs. With consistency — and maybe a little help from a trainer — Pops has the potential to be a fantastic walking partner. He’s currently under veterinary care for a unique skin allergy that requires regular medicated baths and oral medication, and he’s responding well to treatment. Pops would thrive in an active home that can give him the exercise, structure, and continued training he needs, along with plenty of snuggle time. He hasn’t met kids or cats in his foster home, but he’s friendly with people and enjoys the company of other calm, easygoing dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will keep pace with your adventures and then steal your spot on the couch, Pops might just be your guy. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: arrcolorado/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
