Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Alexa is a pretty lady who is looking for a new home. Alexa is with our rescue partner in Louisiana. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Alexa is a described as friendly and happy! She loves attention and hanging out with people. She also loves car rides! Alexa is dog friendly but this girl is a rough and tumbly kind of girl and would be best suited for a dog with similar energy. I suspect she might annoy an older or very small dog. Alexa has been good around older kids too. Alexa is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm. Her treatment can be completed here in NJ if we find a foster or she can come to NJ after treatment. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
