Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 600. Aries is a confident little pup with a big personality and a whole lot of love to give! Still just a baby, he's figuring out the world — and he's looking for a home that will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. This sweet cuddle monster loves to be right in the middle of the action and definitely suffers from a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out). He doesn’t like being left out or left behind and will thrive in a home where someone’s around often or where he has a calm, confident animal buddy to help show him the ropes. Aries is playful, goofy, and smart as a whip. He loves pouncing on bugs, zooming around the yard, chewing on his stuffies, and getting into all the mischief puppies are famous for. He’s already showing how eager he is to learn, and with the right guidance, he’s going to make an incredible companion. A few things to know about Aries: He came into rescue very underweight and has been gaining strength with four meals a day. He’s had some skin irritation (likely flea dermatitis or allergies), but soothing baths have helped a lot. He’ll benefit greatly from obedience training to channel all that puppy energy into good habits. Aries would do best with a family who’s ready for the highs, lows, and hilarious in-betweens of raising a smart, strong-willed puppy. If you’re looking for a pup with tons of personality and potential, Aries is ready to meet his match. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/22/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
