Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. A DARLING PUPPY: Approx. 6-7 months old / Approx. 18 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Birdie! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control with my sibling, and I’m so happy to be here where I’m safe, loved, and learning every day. I’m excited to find a wonderful family to grow up with and share all my love and puppy fun! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Other than my sibling, I haven’t met dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so if you have a nice dog that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I haven’t met kitties. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a very sweet pup who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. I can be a bit shy and timid at first — loud noises, cars, or things like bath sprayers can be a little overwhelming — but if you give me just a little time and patience, I’ll start to trust you, just like I’ve come to trust the kind volunteers here. Now, I love cuddles and feel safest when I can sit in your lap or when you come down to my level. I even did great for my bath massage and nail trim, though I’m still not too sure about that sprayer. Once I feel more confident, my playful and curious side really shines through — just ask the photographer who got to see my silly, wiggly self in action. / Energy level: Currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog — so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / I’m doing well with my crate manners at Mostly Mutts. / I’m having accidents on the shelter schedule, so I’ll need my new family to help me with my potty training. A good take-out schedule and treat rewards should help with that. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love it when you sit down with me so I can climb into your lap for pets and cuddles — there’s nothing better than feeling safe and loved up close! I’m sure we’ll find lots of things we will enjoy doing together and I look forward to that! / I don’t think I’d like to be rushed into new situations and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I’m current on my annual immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed.
