Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 625.00. Hi!! We’re Lucy and Buddy and we’re so excited you found us! We are two tiny 10-pound poodles with big hearts and hypoallergenic hair. We are a bonded pair that have been together our whole lives and can’t imagine a world without each other. Whoever adopts us will be gaining not just pets, but two little shadows who will fill your home with warmth, loyalty, and endless cuddles. More about us from our foster Mama - Buddy is the ultimate snuggle bug, happiest when curled up as close as possible, while sweet Lucy is never far behind, ready for her turn to nuzzle in. They are both gentle, loving, and wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs. They are house-trained, happily sleep side-by-side in their cozy bed, and are just looking for someone to love them forever. After 10 years with the same owner, they were sadly left behind — but they haven’t lost their trust or sweetness. Please consider adopting these amazingly sweet pups.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
