Has bursts of energy in the mornings and afternoons but other than that is pretty chill. If you let him sleep with you he will cuddle up next to u and not move all night. Listens when you call him. Great with other dogs and kids, unsure about cats Koda has been abandoned before, and has a lot of anxiety about being left again. He needs a solid routine and a good crate to keep him safe while you are away so that he doesn't get destructive. With time and reassurance, Koda will improve once he learns he won't ever go to the scary shelter again!

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
