Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Shepherd (short coat). Meet Rusty – Your New Best Friend in the Making! At just six months old and weighing about 40 pounds, Rusty is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and heart-melting sweetness. We think he may be part Hound and part Doberman – a handsome blend that gives him a unique look and a curious, gentle nature. Rusty is still young and eager to learn, making him the ideal companion for someone ready to guide him through his puppy stage with love, patience, and a few tasty treats. He adores people, enjoys making new friends (two-legged and four-legged), and will happily join you on adventures or curl up for a cozy nap. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving pup who’s ready to grow up alongside you, Rusty is waiting to steal your heart. Ready to meet Rusty? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
