JARED NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Jared Best Guess for Breed: Lab / Shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of August 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 38 lbs as of August 2025 Gets Along With: Other dogs! Although Jared has not lived with children, he has done well with those kids he has met. Given what we have observed so far, however, we think he would do well in a home with kids. We haven't seen them with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Shelter. Jared needs a DC-area foster or an adopter to make his way out of the shelter Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Jared would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Jared is Looking For: A loving, active family who can take him on lots of walks and bring him for playdates with doggy friends! Jared is most looking forward to having a warm, cozy, safe home and high quality kibble...and lots of treats, of course! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon!
