If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to infoHeidisLegacyDogRescue No crown, no problem — I rule hearts, not kingdoms. I’m a 7-year-old silver-and-white Chinese Crested Powderpuff, a perfect 23 lbs of fluff and charm. Bonus: I don’t shed, so your black pants are safe. I’m healthy, housebroken, and have this adorable “tap dance” move to tell you I need to go out… or that I’d like a lap. (Honestly, it’s mostly for the lap.) I walk like a pro, love meeting new people and dogs, and I’ve been told I’m great with kids 8+. I’m a pro-level snuggler, part-time car ride adventurer, and full-time shadow — wherever you go, I’ll be right there. My only quirky habit? I take a mouthful of kibble, drop it on the floor, and then eat it like it’s a five-course meal. Calm during storms, light on the barking, and heavy on the love — I’m just looking for my forever human to spoil with cuddles. Could it be you? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
