NINA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Nina Best Guess for Breed: Border collie/spaniel mix Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of August 2025 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 32lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Nina with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Nina could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!We have not seen Nina with kids but are happy to discuss intergration techniques with interested adopters. Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Nina would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Nina is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie is not long out of puppyhood and ready to see the world! She's eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved.
