BANJO Adorable little Banjo is a true Mini Aussie at just 17 pounds full grown. He’s a terrific blend of playful and cuddly. Banjo really enjoys his fluffy squeaky toys, as well as unstuffables that squeak, plush toys and tennis balls. He’s very good at fetch and retrieve and will drop whatever you throw at your feet to play again! Banjo already knows simple commands like sit and lie down; he’s both crate-trained and housebroken and actually enjoys his crate. If you leave the door to the crate open, he may keep his toys in there and come and go from a “mini man cave.” Banjo is getting along well with our “house dogs;” two are moderately playful and one is not playful at all However, Banjo is taking cues from my fussy, older female Mini Aussie so she doesn’t mind him being nearby. Banjo is approximately two years old but very calm and chill for an Australian Shepherd! He’s happy to cuddle at your feet or your side for hours. He’s not demanding that you play with him, he may play with his toys by himself but he’s also content to just be around his humans or other dogs. We are looking for an Aussie-experienced home where there’s someone around to spend time with Banjo. We think he’d be a good companion for a submissive male or especially for a female of similar breed-type, size and age. If you think Banjo would be a great match for your home and lifestyle please complete our adoption application on our website below, Then: TEXT SARA: 214-549-9905 So I can check your application and get back to you! Thank you .dashdog General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD. Please READ ALL of our info below BEFORE SENDING APPLICATION. Our goal is to help our puppies and dogs find FOREVER HOMES AND FAMILIES, NOT TO MAKE IT PROHIBITIVE FOR YOU TO ADOPT. However, once we review the application and contact you, we MEET TO ADOPT, so please let us know if you are ONLY APPLYING TO STAY ON FILE or THAT YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT, for the consideration of our puppies and dogs and families who know the time is right! Overview:
The Australian Shepherd is intelligent and very loyal to his owner. He's a working dog, though, so he does best when his owner gives him a job to do ' such as herding livestock.
