Dog Breed: Hound / Black Mouth Cur / Mixed (short coat). Dasher is a very handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Dasher is with our rescue partner in North Carolina. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Dasher can be timid at first but he warms up and makes friends quickly. This boy lights up around other dogs! He walks nicely on a leash. Dasher has some flystrike on his ears and scarring on his legs indicating he did not have a great first year of life. We hope we can find a foster or adopter to make sure he has a chance at a loving home. Dasher is fixed, up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. If we are able to save him, his adoption fee will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
