Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. Hi I’m Nella. I’m 2-3 years old according to the vet. There is no such thing as too much love, in my opinion. I enjoy spending time with my humans especially if they’re adults. I’m okay with kids but prefer the 17 and over crowd. Sometimes I bark at kids and back away (as if scared) but I’m getting better and learning to trust kids. I’m a medium energy girl and a healthy 60 pounds. I’m crate trained and LOVE my crate. My perfect new family will have a crate that I can go in and out of as I please. I’m house broken and will go sit by the door when I need to go out but I’m not vocal when I’m there. If you don’t happen to see me at the door, then sometimes I give up and go potty in the bathroom where the humans go…. Except on the floor. I am working on this and need a patient new owner to help me learn to be vocal or alert the humans in some way when I need to go out. I LOVE playing with the other dog in my foster home. He’s an old man though and tires easily and I need an adult to tell me to lay off but I listen! My foster family also has 3 rabbits that I’m cool with but my humans think I would chase them if they ran. I do like to gently steal hay from them if they let me. My foster mom says I’m amazing and quirky. She thinks I’m goofy for barking at sunlight shining on walls but not strangers at the door. I will need a fenced in yard and patience when you need to leash me (like for vet appts). Leashes are a little scary for me.
