Description
Dog Breed: Pomeranian / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: $399. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 06/04/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Raleigh Puppy Mill bust Foster location: Foster Home in Raleigh, NC Special Needs? Cherry is up to date on vaccines for her age. Cherry arrived in rescue with sarcoptic mange. She has been treated and is now ready for her forever home. Cherry's mom Vanilla is a beautiful cream pomeranian. She has all the markings of a pomeranian, but was born into a puppy mill where there were also chihuahuas and poodles. We cannot guarantee that she is 100% pomeranian. She is 1000% adorable! Cherry is not hypoallergenic and does shed. Cherry requires another small, active dog in the home. Cherry will be ready for her forever home on September 20, 2025. We are accepting applications to adopt now. Weight: 3 lbs and growing - we expect Cherry will be 15-20 lbs when full grown Height: 6 in and growing - we expect Cherry will be 12-14 inches when full grown Spayed/Neutered: No. Cherry is too small to be spayed. She will be placed on a spay/neuter addendum that requires you to spay her at your cost within 9 months and provide proof of spay to our rescue. Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? Cherry would really love a fenced yard, but it isn't required. If you don't have a fenced yard, Cherry will need plenty of walks each day. What kind of home would be best for me? We are looking for a very specific home for Cherry. If you do not meet all of these criteria, your application will not be considered. First, Cherry requires another active dog in the home. She loves to play and is looking for a canine playmate in her forever home. Second, we are looking for a home that embraces pets the way her foster home does. This means dogs are allowed on the furniture, they can sleep in the bed if they want, and they are beloved members of families. Third, Cherry requires a family where someone is home more than they are away. You could work from home, home school, be an active retiree or have a stay-at-home family member. The key is that your dogs are not alone for more than 2-3 hours each day. Finally, Cherry is looking for a home that takes their dogs places. Socialization with other people and animals is key. It could be road trips, running errands, visits with family, planned playdates with friends, etc. What is my personality like? Cherry is the only black puppy and looks like a little bear with a couple of white spots. She is a snuggler who loves to give kisses. She is also a dedicated play baby who will wrestle for toys when you play with her. She loves to be loved on and wants a home that will give her lots of play and attention. PUPPY POLICY: Thank you for carefully considering the addition of a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience, but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. Since our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious with puppies. We like to stress 3 major things when considering a puppy vs. an adult dog: 1) many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who find themselves in rescue through no fault of their own, 2) adult dogs are eager to share their love and bond with their new family, and 3) puppies will always require far more time, energy, and training than an adult dog. Our ideal puppy adopters are: -experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets -scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and have another canine companion already in the home -stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc.) How do I act when I first meet new people? Cherry is a happy, gregarious puppy who loves everyone she meets. Other tips and tidbits: Cherry arrived in rescue a young pup with her eyes still closed. Her exact birthday is unknown. We celebrate her birthday 05/19/2025. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
