JASMINE - SHIH TZU DOG FOR ADOPTION

Dog Breed: Shih Tzu. Adoption Fee: $400. Jasmine is a super cute little Shih Tzu in search of her forever family. She came to rescue from a very unfortunate breeding situation and has been working hard to build confidence and learn what living in a house is all about. She has come a long ways but will need a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to trust. Jasmine loves the other dogs in her foster home, she is working hard on her housetraining and doing well. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Jasmine would do best in a home with a confident resident dog but it's not required. *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
