Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. This adorable boy with the quizzical brow is Bo... Bo Du Dawg to be exact! Have you ever met a dog with such expressive eyebrows? They are absolutely melting our hearts!! Bo is an 8 month old Shepherd mix that is so sweet, we can't wait to tell you about him! Bo is such a wise and tender soul. He absolutely loves other dogs, especially if they want to play with him. He's potty trained and crate trained, although he doesn't need it. And if that wasn't impressive enough, he walks well on leash! Bo is looking for an amazing family with a lot of love, one that will continue his puppy training into the bestest boy around and take him out to explore the world! He is currently 50 pounds of the softest snuggles around, and not expected to get much bigger. If you think Bo would make a great fit for your family, apply today at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
