Description
Dog Breed: Miniature Schnauzer / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed. // Find our applications at .midwestanimalrescue Adoption Fee $350 plus tax This little girl is such a sweetie. She LOVES to play with toys, will play a few rounds of "fetch" and enjoys a good game of tug-o-war. She is very food motived and gulps down her medication if just put on top of her food at mealtime. She goes to the door when she has to potty, but you better notice her because when she has to go, she has to go! I usually take her out every 2-3 hours. She is not fond of walking around in the dewy grass in the morning, but she tolerates it. I'm sure she would love to go for walks because she loves being outside. At night, she puts herself in her crate for bedtime. What a great pup!! She will snuggle on your lap "just because." She can be a real cuddler. Her one little habit that needs work is that she hasn't gotten over her puppy "nipping". She does it playfully but needs correction. She gets so excited when she comes out of her crate or when she is being playful. She would do best as an only dog unless the sibling dog is close to her age and likes to play. Cats are too sneaky for her...so best if there isn't a cat in her new home. LisaMarie/Kora loves attention and would love a human who dotes on her. She hasn't been around children but due to her medical condition, she doesn't need the stress children could bring Lisa Marie has been diagnosed with epilepsy. At this time there is no obvious cause for the seizures but stressful events may play a part in triggering them. At this time she is well managed on the seizure medication called Zonisamide which is given twice a day and she takes readily. This medication costs about $20 per month. A blood test will be recommended every 6-12 months while on this medication to monitor organ health, which cost can vary quite a bit by clinic. Because oral flea/tick preventatives can decrease the seizure threshold making them more likely, we recommend only topical flea/tick preventative for her.
