Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Micro is a tiny pup with a big personality. Full of playful energy and affection, he’s known for raising his little paw like he’s giving a high five or waving—an adorable habit that’s sure to win hearts. With his striking eyes and joyful spirit, Micro is impossible not to love. Due to his small size, Micro hasn’t been introduced to large dogs, just to ensure his safety. His experience with cats is unknown. He hasn't been reactive—just naturally curious and playful like most puppies. Micro’s story began in tough circumstances—he was found abandoned in a dirty wire kennel on the side of the road in the intense Texas heat, with no water or shade. Thankfully, he’s now safe, thriving, and ready for his forever home. As with any young puppy, Micro eats, plays, naps, and occasionally makes messes. He’s looking for a patient, loving adopter who understands the ups and downs of puppyhood and is committed to guiding him as he grows. There are no behavioral issues—just typical puppy behavior that improves with time, consistency, and care. Micro enjoys interacting with people and can entertain himself with toys or play alongside a gentle canine companion. He will be a devoted and entertaining addition to any home that can provide the love and guidance he deserves—not just while he’s small, but for the years to come. Micro is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 08/22/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
