To complete an adoption application, click here: /forms/form?formid=5879 Meet Espresso Bean, Bean for short– a pint-sized pup with a big personality brewing! ☕ When she first arrived, she was cautious (the world seemed pretty overwhelming), but this brave little bean is showing more courage every day and is really coming out of her shell. Her favorite hobbies? Snacking on literally anything edible, making new dog friends, snuggling in close, and pretending cats don’t exist (seriously, she’s unbothered). She’s working hard on her potty skills and her nighttime routine – progress is happening, though she’s not quite a straight-A student yet. But hey, nobody’s perfect, and she more than makes up for it with her goofy charm and love-bug personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, snack-loving sidekick who will keep you laughing while melting your heart, Espresso Bean just might be your perfect cup. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
