Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Nugget! This cutie pie is an adorable 9 week old 12 lb pitbull mix (our best guess!) She's been living with multiple dogs of all sizes and enjoys hanging out with them and romping around though she is often found independently playing with a toy or frolicking in the backyard like a little explorer. She is a very chunky monkey and her favorite pastime is breakfast, second breakfast, and really anything to do with food. Food is her favorite. She's very good about getting the hang of house training, and knows how to settle down in her crate. She loves people and has a confident bouncy personality! Nugget came to us locally when she was scooped up from an unhoused woman that was giving her and her litter mates away for free after the momma dog had tragically passed away. The good samaritan that picked her up realized quickly they couldn't keep a 6 week old puppy, and we're grateful they decided the next best place for her would be with a rescue who could ensure she gets her shots, early socialization around other dogs, and will be fixed so Nugget doesn't ever have a similar fate as her mom. Like all puppies, Nugget will need a home that continues to show her the ropes of growing up: proper socialization to the big wide world, training, and a home filled with lots of love and care. All Underdog puppies will have their are spay/neutered covered, microchipped, and be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $450. She is being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at underdogsrock/adopt-a-dog . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and can be conducted virtually if necesary.
