Description
Dog Breed: Blue Lacy / Mixed. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Magenta – Blue Lacy Mix, 1 year, 45 pounds – Professional Cuddle Bug in Training Meet Magenta (affectionately called Aggie by her foster mom), a sweet and snuggly Blue Lacy mix. Magenta is the perfect mix of playful puppy and laid-back companion. She loves toys, chewing bones, splashing in water, and hiding her treasures for you to find later. Her favorite place, though, is curled up on the couch with her person, happily resting her head on you. Magenta is still working on her puppy manners like play-biting and not jumping up to say hello, but she responds well to structure and is learning quickly. She’s almost fully house-trained, signals when she needs to go out, and does great in her crate — even sleeping through the night like an angel. While leashes still feel a little strange to her and walks aren’t her favorite activity, she’s happiest playing freely in the yard or with other dogs. Magenta has had positive interactions with other dogs, though she hasn’t been tested with cats or children yet. She is motivated by food, love, and affection, and would thrive in a home that can continue guiding her as she grows. She isn’t overly anxious and doesn’t seem to need hours of exercise — she’s more of a frolic-in-the-yard and then snuggle-on-the-couch type of pup. Originally found as a stray, Magenta has blossomed into a confident, affectionate companion with a shiny, healthy coat. She’s looking for a family who wants a loving, easygoing dog to share their lives with. Could that be you? If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: arrcolorado/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
