Description
Dog Breed: English Bulldog (short coat). Meet Mochi: A Sweet, Playful Bulldog Ready for Her Furever Home Mochi is an English Bulldog who has faced some challenges, but now she’s ready for a new chapter. After being brought to Springdale Kennels in San Jose due to her family’s housing issues, Mochi has been waiting for a loving home. She’s spent several months at the kennel, where she’s been receiving care and attention. Now, Mochi is on the lookout for a foster-to-adopt home where she can settle in, get the training and love she deserves, and eventually make her forever home. Mochi has made incredible progress! With a little dedication, she’s lost 20 pounds and is much lighter on her paws. She loves her daily walks, is house trained, and is great with other dogs. She’s a snuggly girl who would love nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch, and she’s playful and curious with a real zest for life. Mochi is also treat motivated, making her an eager student when it comes to training—she loves playing tug with rope toys and is always up for some fun. While Mochi is sweet, playful, and affectionate, she does need a little more work when it comes to meeting new dogs. She gets overly excited and sometimes wants to mount them, but with time, consistency, and patient training, we’re confident this behavior will improve. Mochi’s excitement is simply a result of never having had much guidance in her previous environment. She’s still adjusting, and we believe that with the right structure, she’ll continue to grow and learn. Mochi has recently been spayed, so she’s fully recovered and ready to start this new journey. Her ideal foster home would be with someone who is able to provide daily walks and continue her training, helping her develop into the well-mannered companion we know she can be. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and snuggly bulldog who’s ready to work on her training, Mochi might be the perfect fit for you. She’s ready to share all her secrets love and excitement with a family who’s willing to guide her every step of the way! to arrange a meeting with Mochi, please help us learn more about you by filling out our online application .tinyurl/AdoptMeNow or text us at (408)431-6954

Overview:
The Bulldog, often recognized by its distinctive pushed-in face and sturdy build, is a beloved breed with a rich history rooted in England. Originally bred for bull-baiting, their temperament has evolved significantly, making them gentle, affectionate companions today. Physically, Bulldogs are medium-sized, characterized by their broad shoulders, short legs, and loose, wrinkled skin. Their short coat typically comes in various colors and patterns. Despite their somewhat imposing appearance, Bulldogs possess a surprisingly sweet and docile nature, making them excellent family pets and remarkably well-suited for apartment living due to their lower energy levels. However, prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns, including brachycephalic airway syndrome, hip and elbow dysplasia, and skin fold dermatitis, which necessitate regular veterinary care and attention to their unique needs. Their calm disposition and moderate exercise requirements make them a wonderful choice for those seeking a loving and loyal companion.
