Sky has love that is as endless as the blue above. Foster Home Feedback 8/20/25 Foster Feedback: Meet Sky! Sky is an adorable puppy full of curiosity, energy, and love — and she hasn’t had a single accident in the house since she’s been with us! She can be a bit shy and scared at first as she gets used to living indoors with people, but her sweet personality shines through more each day. Sky enjoys romping around with toys, exploring her surroundings, and snuggling up once playtime is over. Sky gets along wonderfully with our two small senior dogs and our 3-year-old medium-sized dog, and she would really enjoy having a playmate in her new home. She’s also working on her basic manners and crate training, and making great progress. Sky will do best in a home ready for puppy energy, continued training, and plenty of affection. She’s sure to grow into a wonderful companion for a family who’s ready to love her through all the stages of puppyhood. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart pup to grow with your family, Sky might just be the perfect match! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: .4luvofdog

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
