Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Adoption Fee: $125.00. I am Remi the reddish tan of 40lbs and 2&1/2 years, I was rescued by a man from a home, that could not feed me. I had been tied outside, with 2 other pitbulls and Fendi, the Yorkie. Fendi and I became best buddies. If you are looking for two dogs, we are a great pair. We entertain each other. I am good with adults, children, and dogs. I am a very loving smaller sized girl. If you have a soft spot for pits, I am one of those, that is a sweetheart. I have been alone enough, so only 4 hours please. I am not a runner, so fence not necessary. However, walks will be. I am a young girl. I love to run around the edge of the pond and jump with all 4 legs in the air, to chase frogs.I also am fascinated with the stream out of the garden hose. I will bite at it and play, until I am soaking wet. I love to play fetch and an auto ball launcher would be great. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
