Description
Dog Breed: Collie / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Pepper Potts was found as a stray with her puppies, and she’s proven herself to be one of those easygoing, quietly wonderful dogs that just fits in anywhere. She’s a little shy at first, but her tail never stops wagging, and within minutes she’s happily following you around like an old friend. Pepper Potts is gentle and even-tempered. She’s been around goats, horses, cats, and ducks without bothering any of them. She enjoys walks, has great leash manners, and prefers to trot along off-leash when she can. She knows “stay” and “down,” rides well in the car, and willingly goes in her crate. Living inside is new to Pepper but she has adjusted wonderfully and is so happy to have a couch or dog bed to snuggle on! She does have a few quirks—she startles at correction and retreats to her crate - she needs a patient and gentle adopter to build her confidence. When excited she may let out a little squeak or whine. In her first days, she also had some submissive “happy pee” greetings, but that quickly passed and may resurface briefly in a new home, but she is otherwise great with pottying outside. Her previous foster said she could climb a fence, though she hasn’t shown that tendency since. She is more submissive and would love a dog buddy or to be the focus of your attention. Overall, Pepper Potts is affectionate, playful, and steady. She’d love a yard to lounge in, plus a person who enjoys hiking or walking with a loyal sidekick. She’s truly “a good one.” Pepper Potts is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
