Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). ONYX - 2 years old, 45 pounds, friendly, dog social, playful. Onyx was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He is friendly and playful with other dogs which we are seeing in our shelter playgroup. He runs around chasing other dogs and even tumbles around sometimes when other dogs are a bit more rough. He gets right back up and continues to play. Onyx has not met any children yet and although he seems like he would be easy going and friendly with them, slow and proper introductions would still be best. Teaching children to respect animals' spaces and food is very important. Onyx loves playing with toys, any kind will do. He is crate trained. He has escaped the property a few times so a tall privacy fence and/or leash walks will be best for this rascal. PS Onyx loves the kiddie pool! Are you ready to give this goofy grey and white boy a chance? Come on out to meet him! He is currently in a back kennel so if you come in and don't see him, please just ask!
